Sounds really nice! It would be an interesting little game that doesn't take itself too seriously yet has a scathing view of society. As for the style I recommend getting reference from artsy sorts of games like OFF and Lisa, as a disturbed sort of doodle fits the art-style of the former and the cynical atmosphere fits the latter.

>three negroes

Sounds a lot like Boondocks to me which would be interesting. Reaching an audience beyond /mlpol/ probably necessitates that you give a modicum of sympathetic perspective even if you lambaste their flaws. I'd imagine they'd be a goofy sort.

>two cops

Referencing San Andreas is a great idea because it's a well-loved classic, but I recommend differentiating them a little bit. The first thing that comes to mind is exaggerating them to a comedic extent as it seems like the rest of the game is intended to have humor.

>politician

I know you're referencing Beto O'Rourke and Trudeau, but it's worth applying aspects of other sleazy politicians (there's no shortage of them) like Jimmy Carter, Bill Weld and of course Bill Clinton. Emphasizing the veneer so players go "something's not right here…" yet feel curious to explore further may be a good idea. Such politicians are the sort to invite half the (respectable side of) town to a lavish (but casual) annual party to appear more relatable.

>fake husband

Sounds like the setting of Allen Gregory, which is one of the worst cartoons of all time but really tried to be "diverse" by having a sociopathic CEO essentially hire a man to be his husband. He also adopted a Cambodian girl who is abused. I'm not sure if the show is meant to be some kind of satire but it's disgusting. I think the creators also made that show with the sex demons.

Glad to hear.
Btw I'm sorry that I never made and audionovel of it. I wanted to but life got in the way.

I would rate your story seven fillies out of ten purples tbh. It is obivious from the begining that it will be a comedy story. It succeeds in this for the most part. What one doesn't know at that point is that it will become a good mysery novel aswell. The mystery is pretty good. It dos follow the give the reader all the piece before the conclusion formula, if I didn't make any mistakes somewhere. Though, this is true, all the pieces arrive late in the story so don't expect to solve the mystery right away.
There were only a few moments were a rolled my eyes, your main characters how everything is pointless spiel was one. But then again it does fit his chracter so it is technically well done. It is not you that is the problem it is me. Otherwise it was solid throughout. Would recomand.

I have been thinking though, you won't have any branching paths will you? I mean since it is based on this book that your wrote. Or have you added such paths to it?
Not that I'm complaining since I can see the charm with just a novel with pictures to it. I was just wondering.

>I will probably need others yet but I think this is most of the main cast (it's been about a year since I've looked at this story so I forgot a lot of what I wrote).

Well then, here are some more characters your mc interacts with.

Yeah, I was kind of writing off the cuff due to the nature of NaNoWriMo so I didn't really plan it out. I'm actually reworking the story a bit for the VN, I'll probably drop a couple of clues in a little sooner, add some scenes, and tighten up the narrative a bit. There's a few details that on revisiting it don't make a ton of sense so I might change small elements of it.

>you won't have any branching paths will you?

Haven't decided yet. It's occurred to me that it might be fun to develop a couple of side mysteries for the player to solve along the way, and have the main story follow the same path as the novel. I might throw in a couple of bad ends too if I can think of any. It's not 100% though, I might just have the story play out all the way through without any choices or branching. I'm kind of seeing how it goes.

>Like if your mc had seen him holding a typical speech on tv. Have him say a bunch of platidudes there.

But again maybe you did show that somewhere in there and I simply don't remember.
Yeah, introducing the governor character a little sooner and giving the reader more of an impression of his public side to contrast his private side is one of the details I want to alter.

>There were only a few moments were a rolled my eyes, your main characters how everything is pointless spiel was one.

Part of what I was trying to do with this story was make some commentary on white male isolation, how shitty things look under liberal rule, and how depressing and pointless modernity is most of the time. I didn't want it to be all heavy handed and corny though so I tried to make it lighthearted and humorous most of the time, making the autist character someone who would be sympathetic but also someone you could laugh at a little. Believe it or not I actually rewrote his angstier monologues numerous times because I felt some of them were a bit much, and the version that wound up in the final draft is toned down quite a bit. Maybe it needs a bit more toning. Anyway, the Raymond Chandler novel this is based on, The Long Goodbye, was sort of the same thing; it was a mystery story that also cPost too long. Martin Armstrong predicts the rise of third parties in politics. He expects the political duality to break down.

>Three waves of 51.6-years brought us to about 2015. That merely confirmed our model on political trends which forecast back in 1985 that the first time we would see a potential third party win would be 2016. The beginning of this Private Wave was 1985.65 and the Pi Turning point was also 2017.05. This pinpointed virtually the day Trump was sworn in.

They worry that the sweeping proposals and hardball tactics of liberal firebrands could alienate centrist voters in the 2020 election, even as they hold out hope that Democratic primary voters, focused on defeating President Trump, will check the party’s move to the left.
The moderates’ concerns came to a head this week when one of the newest Democratic stars appeared to threaten colleagues who would not toe the liberal line, raising the specter of a fracture in the party between moderates and purists, similar to a long-standing divide in the Republican Party.

https://www.armstrongeconomics.com/international-news/politics/will-the-democrats-split-into-2-parties-after-aocs-threats/

I'd interpret this as, successful societies have more energy/motivation. This makes the inherent conflicts larger. As each side uses this energy to double down, the mostly moderate population rejects both extremes. However I think the basic circumstances will, for pragmatic reasons, have most of the population biased to the right. But the traditional Left/Right parties are being replaced. This might be as "small" as changing the party culture and keeping the name or fading out.

According to the Jew York Post:
https://nypost.com/2019/10/09/california-faces-historic-power-outage-due-to-fire-danger/
It's due to the fault lines that Pacific hasn't fixed yet, in tandem with the dry weather and winds. In Cali that makes sense, since there's a serious brush-fire problem caused by the desert weather patterns. The huge fire that burned down all the central and southern CA vineyards a year or two ago was caused by Santa-Ana winds (warm winds with little humidity, in California we nickname them Santa-Ana as a catch-all term).

Of course, the brush existing in the first place is a massive failure on the part of California's environmental movement and lack of understanding with fires. Here, we have lots of brush that grows and dry leaves and such that never get burned down or uprooted, and then when they start withering and dying along the 76 or the I-15, suddenly some jackass with a cigarette kickstarts a cataclysmic fire. We need to conduct controlled fires more often, so that the dead brush can clear out.

Actually, while doing a quick search for related articles, I found this. This Forbes article goes into more depth about the issues with wildfires that California faces. This is a Forbes article on how regulations and "environmental friendliness" actually WORSENED the fires last year.
https://www.forbes.com/sites/chuckdevore/2018/07/30/californias-devastating-fires-are-man-caused-but-not-in-the-way-they-tell-us

>the Sacramento Bee editorial board blamed the Carr Fire foursquare on a man-caused buildup of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. In an editorial headlined, “The Carr Fire is a terrifying glimpse into California’s future,” they write, “This is climate change, for real and in real time. We were warned that the atmospheric buildup of man-made greenhouse gas would eventually be an existential threat.”

>The Bee editorial board goes on to attack President Trump for proposing to end California’s exceptional waiver from federal law regarding auto emissions—in this case, California’s push to curtail tailpipe carbon dioxide, something never envisioned when the Clean Air Act was debated in 1970. At the time, the concern was pollution that directly harmed health rather than carbon dioxide, a naturally occurring gas exhaled by every living animal.
>The problem with the Bee’s editorial is that making a passionate argument is no substitute for the truth.
>In 2005 while a freshman California Assemblyman, I had the chance to visit Northern California and meet with the forest product industry professionals who grew, managed, and harvested trees on private and public lands. They told me of a worrisome trend started years earlier where both federal and state regulators were making it more and more difficult for them to do their jobs. As a result, timber industry employment gradually collapsed, falling in 2017 to half of what it was 20 years earlier, with imports from Canada, China, and other nations filling domestic need.

I realize that if we looked for every single series that every voice actress for the show as involved in, it's be a long list. Ashleigh Ball stars as Jet Propulsion in "Ready Jet Go" for example, but I don't think any other MLP cast are involved in that…

What I'm curious about is where we can find the most overlap between actors from MLP FIM who have gotten together to work on other projects.

This comes to mind because I recently started watching this show called "Rev & Roll" and it stars Ashleigh Ball (RD+AJ) as Rev (a boy), Andrea Libman (FS+PP) as Avery (a girl) and Tabitha St. Germain (Rarity) as Rev's mom Molly and Avery's purple catgirl automobile Alley.

Absent Twily's Tara that's the "mane 5" that existed before she came to Ponyville and it's fun to see they are close friends and co-operating on projects like this. Does anyone know of any others?

I just love the amount of physical contact between Rev and Avery, you can see they are very close bosom buddies. There's also a cute blonde girl named Lori who rides a dump truck! Her VA is Rebecca Husain who people might recognize as Alice from Go Away Unicorn.

Her instincts screamed at her to go on the offensive and make certain she was no longer a threat, but remained still at Jeff's order.

About what I do, I do not deny any of it in a general situation because the topic is very sensitive. Where I've found at least one open-minded I may if the topic is brought up naturally discuss the event and mention that the official figure is not supported by evidence. Another way I treat this historic event is to put it in a context or compare it to other atrocities; denying it outright is to label yourself as an undesirable. In this day and age, there are things you simply don't do. It doesn't benefit the wish to discuss the topic in a critical manner either. A stance that seems to nettle a few on the forum enough to treat me with condescension.

Never heard about Aktion T4 until now. Just reading about it gives me the chill. I can understand euthanasia for people who are terminally ill and suffering severely, but not for those with certain mental illnesses that can be cared for in institutions. This part of the population is vanishingly small and caring for them is hardly a bigger toll on the system than the criminal population with no such ailments.

I appreciate your position, and when people are presented with the idea that the Holocaust is a lie, their first reaction is to indicate that people did die. There's no refuting that, the issue is painting the Nazis as deliberate and methodical exterminators who's sole intention was to kill as many of the Jews as possible. This myth persists to present day, and is used as the staple excuse to denounce any nationalist or white initiative worldwide. As though anyone who would have any racial pride - something that is encouraged in all races except white - is out to murder another 6 gorrillion.
